We're keeping things very pre-teen/primary school for our list, before school discos became all about who to sidle up to in time for the last dance. This was nu-disco (a 21st century genre with a renewed interest in disco, post-disco, Euro house & French house) along with French house & it was Nile Rogers' biggest non-disco hit. Daft Punk was known for a type of EDM known as French house. This's modern EDM paying tribute to sounds from 70's music & co-written & co-played by Nile Rogers. In fact disco was killed off since an event called Disco Demolition Night (held in Chicago on July 12th 1979). This came out in 2013 & disco died before the 1980s. And the song is co-written ans co-played by Chic-Mastermind Nile Rodgers, the man behind Lost in Music, Le Freak, He's the greatest dancer, I'm coming out, I want your love, Rappers Delight, We are Family, Upside down, Good times. I see no reason why this is not a disco song. This song combines funk, soul, and pop and has a light guitar part with more of an Emphasis in bass and drums. A disco song does not have to come out of the 70s or 80s, nor does any genre have to come out of any era to be considered part of that genre.
